Intestinal Health X Performance
Are you one of those people who eats very well, but it seams your body never responds the way you expected? You train correctly, but it seams like aesthetically you can´t get the results you´ve been so hardly searching for? So you end up looking for supplements and make an overdose of all of them to "accelerate the results" and at the end no changes? Well, you can suffer from "Intestinal Disbiose", that is, malfunction of the intestines, which harms nutrient absorption and causes the individual to loose heath, disposition on the everyday life, and performance during physical activity. If you would like to know a little bit more about this, take a look at the text the nutritionist Fernanda Scheer* prepared specially for the Bella Club reader.
Did you know there is a strong relationship between your intestinal health and your performance during the practice of physical Exercises?
The intestine is the organ where occurs the digestion and absorption of nutrients essential to normal functioning of our organism and energy production. In other words, on an unhealthy intestine, it makes no difference what one is eating or taking (supplements), for the intestine is not absorbing nutrients correctly.
That means dedication for nothing and waste of money, for even if that individual adopts a healthy and balanced feeding, investing on expensive supplements, they may not be bringing the benefits they should, simply because of the lack of balance on the organ that is responsible for its absorption, state called "intestinal Disbiose".
But how can you know if you have it?
If you have abdominal distention, sensation of stuffed after every meal, gas, irregular evacuation, burps specially after you eat it is likely your digestive system is compromised, not performing adequately its digestion and absorption functions. This problem in basic functions indicates nutrients are not reaching the cells, leaving the organism debilitated and with lack of energy, compromising all its functions and, worse, predisposed to innumerable diseases.
Without nutrients, the cell does not produce energy and there is a growth in formation of radicals, since there is not enough anti- oxidant to eliminate them. Hence, cells grow old more rapidly and the organism gets fragile and susceptible to infections and diseases.
But what harms intestines health?
The prolonged usage of antibiotics, anti-inflammatory, and corticoids kill, without distinction, the harmful as well as the utile bacteria to the intestine. Without the useful ones, the lactobacilli, intestinal cells are unprotected and therefore more susceptible to unbalances.
Bad feeding habits are also one of the responsible factors for unbalances on the gut flora. Excessive ingestion of industrialized food, alcohol, excess of fat, refined food, and protein, allied to low ingestion of fruit, vegetables, and fiber harm intestinal health, causing "holes" where toxins and food left over accumulate causing serious damage to the intestines.
Associated to that there is also stress, which causes intestinal Ph unbalances; constant ingestion of allergens; eating on a hurry, rapidly chewing the food, and the excess of artificial additives and agro toxics, habits that are very common nowadays.
Search for a nutritionist to evaluate the state of your intestine. This can be the basis to the solution of innumerous other problems you have never even imagined to be related to this organ, including your energy and performance.
