Christmas is coming and, with it, the doubts about what to buy for that special person. If you´re past the initial stage and prefer asking her what she would like to get for Xmas, you´re free from burden. But some of you might want to surprise her and with the lovely decision comes a big responsibility. That is why I came up with a few ideas for those of you who want to impress your lady.

The best tip is: think about what she likes. The colors, her style, the smells that catch her attention. If she is into bags and shoes (even already having a big bunch of them!) you have little chance of getting it wrong. Chose one – or both if that´s the case. After all, purses and boots are never enough for women. I am certain she will enjoy getting one of those instead of flowers and chocolates.


Which, by the way, are complimentary and not the main present for the woman you Love. We love getting flowers, but not as much as you may think. We love clothes, accessories, make-up and perfume a lot more! So if you would like to impress us this Christmas, keep an eye on those and we´ll be lucky to have you as our partner. Anyway, when choosing flowers, pick the fine ones, like orchids, red or white roses and lillys. Pay attention to the colors, which mean a lot to women and every one of them have their meanings. You might Google it or ask someone about them so you can pick the right color to the right gal.


Beauty products are also a great idea and we use them all the time, so besides being useful, they keep us looking hot and pretty. There are new options every day, each of them promising miraculous results, such as younger skin, shinier hair and a cellulite-free bum. These are good if you know your partner really well, otherwise she might see it as a bad hint and think that you´re trying to tell her something about the way she looks. So calm down! If you don´t know her well or isn´t in the mood of risking that much, go for perfumes, moisturizers and body oils.  Make-up is always welcome, but try to keep it classic.

Meaning: black mascara; terracotta blush; colorless lip gloss and light eye-shadows. Red lipstick and colorful mascara are only valid if you´ve seen your girl wearing them before or if she specifically asks for them. When in doubt, keep it simple.


Lingerie is also very personal and hard to get it right when you don´t know the person very well. Something I can guarantee, though, is that most of us prefer black, white or pearly laces. This time of the year is great for lingerie, especially if your partner believes in spending New Year´s Eve wearing something new and picks her clothes according to the colors (in some cultures, people tend to wear White in New Year´s Eve – for peace. Just like the color white, all the other colors have its meanings; green for hope, pink for love, red for passion, yellow for money and it goes on...).


Pampering services are also great and she will definitely love it as a gift, especially after working her ass off all year round.  If she likes looking after herself, why not paying a Day Spa and offering a few hours of complete bliss? Massages, beauty treatments, a new hair cut... There are so many options it´s impossible not to fall in Love with pampering services gifts.


If it´s summer where you live or if you´re going somewhere sunny on your holidays, maybe it´s a good idea giving her a new bikini or a glamorous hat. If you still think about giving her a beach bag with all that, just remember matching them. Sunglasses, flip-flops, earrings and watches are also great accessories and go with anything.


Another amazing option are the electronics, such as na iPad, iPhone, smartphones, digital cameras and net books (with feminine colors, such as red, pink or white). Maybe she enjoys watching TV series. If that´s the case, the collections might work in your favor.  Take a look at the boxes of Friends, Sex and the City, Lost and The Vampire Diaries, according to the favorite styles, of course!
