What people say about the relation between a car’s Power and male sexuality starts to gain scientific support. According to a research carried by Concordia University in Montreal, driving a sports car is enough to bring up a man’s testosterone levels, in the same way that getting behind the wheels of an old car can do the opposite.
The study used 39 men. First, they drove a Porsche 911 Carrera for one hour then a Toyota Camry 1993. Saliva samples were taken before and after the test and they have shown a significant increase in testosterone levels while driving the Porsche. On the Camry experience, the hormone levels were not altered or have suffered a small decrease.
According to the study, the increase in testosterone levels was even bigger when guys drove through busy places where they could attract the look of potential partners. Among the reasons would be the fact that they own something very few people can have.
To the researchers, results help to explain the popular theory that men in midlife crisis chose supermachines so they can feel as powerful and exclusive as they are.
